Hello everyone, December is almost over along with 2023, it's time to talk about what happened this year and what to expect for the next update and 2024.
For starters, this was the year of HC2, the first version of the game (0.1e) became available to the public right in January.Just to refresh your memory: the game's current HUD and personality traits were introduced in version 0.15, along with Samantha and Megan. In version 0.1e there were 2 areas, 8 bad endings and 11 girls. Version 0.70 has 6 areas, 36 bad endings and 46 girls.
The Swamp was added in February, Jungle in April, Sidejobs in June, Personality Traits were reworked in September, the Tower was added in October and Events were added in November.
Even with all of that, HC2 still has a looong way to go, I have two major additions planned for the near future, which I'm not ready to share the details yet, but one of them is something that has been requested since HC1 and can finally be implemented now that the game has a solid foundation.
Now, about v0.75:
A new minor addition: Enemy Types.For some time now I've been characterizing enemies into types to better reference them in coding, like Shemales and Bosses. With some adjustments this can be implemented to add new interactions with enemies, which is the case with Felicia's new trait. Enemies could also be characterized by their body type and/or personality and they may have multiple types, which opens up a lot of fun possibilities.
Two new girls were added, along with a bad trait for each one, Felicia's trait may be too specific and therefore won't be added to the initial pool, but Molly's trait can be chosen during character creation.
A new set of sidejobs was added, one for each addiction.Furthermore, all sidejob photos had their quality increased from 65% to 80%, the same level as all other photos. This will increase the file size on the long run, but from the feedback I have received from you guys, image quality is much more valuable than file size, which I completely agree, although I still try to avoid size increase whenever possible.
The cheat code "lauragurlbestgurl" is being added back into the game, you can gain extra fame by typing this phrase in place of your name while playing on the easy difficulty.
This month was really smooth and everything went as expected, as a result, version 0.75 will be available for download on Tuesday, January 2nd.Cheers to 2024, may it be as fun and productive as 2023 !Happy new year ❤
