The new version of HC2 is out !

Changes:

MODDING TOOLS

You can now choose to play one of the game’s sound effects at each stage
Stages can now be renamed
Added a toggle to switch between random and sequential images
Users will now receive a warning when an image has the correct name but an unsupported format
Once a custom enemy’s name is set, it can no longer be changed
- This should help prevent compatibility issues with images

NEW EVENTS

Added a new narrative event chain featuring new enemies
- Players must defeat them under specific conditions to unlock the next stage of the event.
- New progression states were added to support multi-step outcomes, including both success and defeated routes
Added a unique synergy between two new items and the event/enemies

Hello Diogaoo! Love the game, been playing since 1.6! Been really getting into Enemy Creation and I was wondering if you're planning to add all the special events/status effects later on? (like Dominated, Restrained, Charmed, etc.) Also is it possible to modify the amount of damage / lust received already? I tried to see if I could by editing the .rpy of the enemy but it didn't change the value of dmg/lust

Yes, definitely! I do plan to add status effects ! I was originally aiming to include them in the next update, but they’ll most likely be pushed to the one after that.

As for damage: right now, you can only change the type of lust attack or the amount of physical damage. It’s not possible to customize the amount of lust damage in any way, since lust damage is calculated based on the hero’s current addiction level and resistance.

Enemies in HC2 only apply 1 point of addiction per lust attack. Each time the hero is hit by one, that specific addiction increases by 1, and the lust damage…

Where do we encounter Lilith and her archipriestess form? And where do we find the two new legendary equipments?

Lilith and her Archpriestess form are part of a chain of events that starts with Cordellia.

First, you need to find and defeat Cordellia (she appears as a random event while exploring). Once you defeat her, Lilith will be the next event you encounter.

To reach her Archpriestess form, you’ll need to defeat Lilith while using one of the new legendary equipments, the Sacrificial Dagger, dropped by Cordellia.

You can get the Archpriestess Diadem as a rare drop from Archpriestess Lilith. Cool things happen if you equip both at the same time.

To defeat Cordellia, you’ll need to play around her main mechanic, she has extremely high armor, so regular damage won’t work very well. You’ll want to use strategies like direct damage, armor penetration, or armor reduction.

As for finding her, Cordellia appears as a random event while exploring. The chance increases as you defeat enemies and progress through days, but resets once you encounter any event.

After you defeat Cordellia, Lilith will be the next event you encounter.

To reach Arch Lilith, you’ll need to defeat Lilith while using the item dropped by Cordellia the Sacrificial Dagger. That will trigger Arch Lilith to appear next.

I love the game heaps! Just wondering if there is a guide to the mod manager and how to upload photos, ive not been sure where or how. I play on both Mac and Android so any help would be appreciated :)

Hey QT! Really glad you’re enjoying the game 😊

Unfortunately, Mac and Android are the two platforms that have been giving me the most trouble when it comes to the modding tools. Android especially isn’t the best environment to work with them right now, so there’s a chance I might end up removing the tool from that version. If you’re interested, I go into a bit more detail about this in the March devlog.

As for Mac, things have been a bit inconsistent. I don’t have access to macOS myself, so I have to rely on user feedback to get things working, which means sometimes it works fine and sometimes it doesn’t.

I love the game, been following since the first and orginal Hero Currption. I was wondering how or if we could edit already enemies in the game? If there is some type of a guide on how to work around the new system that would be amazing, plus what is the mode side selection panel is for?

Also, I would love to see a setting game features to turn off or keep on the curses or not, they are fine and a challenge, but soemtimes I want a laid back match going slow and steady.

Yeah, switching to normal mode will currently wipe all your data. You can do this by clicking the ‘Clear All Data’ button in the options menu on the main screen.

I’ve been getting quite a bit of feedback about this, though, so I might revisit how it works in the future, possibly by only requiring a full reset for easy mode and allowing players to switch between normal and hard mode more freely.
