May Devlog

Hi everyone,

This month I started accepting player-created enemies for official publication, a new area, a new arena challenger, and a new common enemy. Let's get into the details:

Some of you may have already noticed, but it is now possible to submit your own enemies to be officially published. Users interested in sending their mods for review can head to the website, fill out the submission form with some information, and upload their files.Approved mods will be published on the website for public download. You can also include your nickname or social media links in the form so other players can find and follow your work.

This is one of the first steps toward supporting community-created content. For now, I want to evaluate both the demand for the feature and the number of submissions it receives. If interest grows, I'll continue improving the submission process and expanding the tools available for creators.

Still on the topic of mods, I’m currently working on implementing debuffs into enemy creation. It might take a while since I need to rewrite the code for multiple enemies. During HC2’s early development, each enemy handled debuffs such as Aroused in its own unique way. It was only later that I started standardizing the system, so a lot of older code now needs to be updated to support this properly. I will probably spend most of the time between now and release day updating and optimizing legacy code.

It was about time for a new Challenger to enter the Arena, so Kitty returns from Hero Corruption 1 as the enemy with the highest number of scenes so far. In addition, a new regular enemy, Penny, will be introduced. With her arrival, a new 3★ area, Riverside, has been added to the game.

The release of Hero Corruption 2 version 2.20 is scheduled for Friday, June 5th.
